Ancaster Road Temporarily Closed Between Wilson Avenue and Regent Road Until Friday, July 4, 2025

The City of Toronto is modifying and upgrading the storm and sanitary system in your area in order to reduce surface and basement flooding. Due to the depth and nature of the construction work at Ancaster Road, the road will be closed between Wilson Avenue and Regent Road effective from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, to Friday, July 4, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. for construction.

This project is part of the Council-approved 2023 Basement Flooding Protection Program to improve the water distribution system, renew our aging infrastructure and reduce the risk of sewer collapse or blockages that cause sewer backups and flooding.

WORK DETAILS

For this project, the contractor will:

• Excavate on Wilson Avenue between Lady York Avenue and Ancaster Road to install the
  sanitary sewer and restore the area.
• This work will require the temporary closure of the south end of Ancaster Road to all traffic.
