Dear neighbour, I would like to share with you exciting news on the Herbert Carnegie Arena State-of-Good Repair project at 580 Finch Avenue West.
This great investment in our local community centre and arena includes improvements to the washrooms, change rooms, mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems. We have also installed an elevator to improve accessibility at this facility.
Below are the pictures shared with us by city staff on the progress of the project.

The washrooms and change rooms are near completion; The refrigeration system is operational and ice making will commence shortly; and the project will be completed at the end of the month of January.
Once the facility re-opens, it will be enjoyed by residents of York Centre and beyond. My office will share the opening date. Be sure to sign up to receive our bi-weekly e-newsletter to hear about it!
