- December 9, 2022
- Downsview News, Notices, York Centre News
Dear neighbours, our office received the following notice from the city staff.
Work Status Update
The major project on Jane and Wilson to modify and upgrade the storm and sanitary sewer system in your area from October 2020 and until August 2023, has resumed as of November 24th.
The work was delayed due to unforeseen construction variables that could not be anticipated until work had begun. Major underground work on Wilson Avenue should be completed by end of November 2022. Minor underground work on Wilson Avenue should be completed by end of December 2022 with restoration to follow.
Work is fully completed on Calvington Drive, Camborne Avenue, Dalsby Road, and Epsom Downs Drive.
Minor works remain on Canton Avenue, Exbury Road, Gatesgill Crescent, Letchworth Crescent, Tavistock Road, Troutbrooke Drive, and Tumpane Street. Note that these works will have minimal impacts to the public.

Restoration work that may include sod replacement, driveway reinstatement, curb installation, sidewalk section replacements, and paving operations are still to be completed on Buxton Road, Clevedon Street, Datchet Road, Dana Avenue, Deevale Road, Forthbridge Crescent, Julian Road, Lexfield Avenue, Monclova Road, Peacham Crescent, Smallwood Drive, and Westcliffe Road. Note that restoration cannot take place during winter months, and therefore it is likely that work on these streets will commence in early Spring 2023.
