Notice: Storm and Sanitary sewer system at Edinburgh Drive and Westgate Boulevard

The City of Toronto is modifying and upgrading the storm and sanitary sewer system in your area in order to reduce surface and basement flooding. Due to the depth and nature of the sanitary sewer construction work on Westgate Boulevard, the road will be closed at the intersection of Edinburgh Drive and Westgate Boulevard effective from 7:00 a.m. on Monday June 12, 2023, to 7:00 p.m. on Friday June 23, 2023. Closure at Westgate Boulevard and Southgate Avenue will follow after the work is completed at Westgate Boulevard and Edinburgh Drive.

This project is part of the Council approved 2023 Basement Flooding Protection Program to improve the water distribution system; renew our aging infrastructure and reduce the risk of sewer collapse or blockages that cause sewer backups and flooding.
